Two antique silver tinder boxes (vesta cases / match safes), the precursors of the matchboxes.

1. Rectangular model with floral engraving
• 900 silver
• Dimensions: 6.5 × 2.5 × 1 cm
• Weight: approx. 27 g

2. Rounded model with hand-hammered (martelé) finish and eyelets
• 800 silver, stamped 800 and GD (likely Gebrüder Deyhle, Schwäbisch Gmünd)
• Dimensions: 4.5 × 3 × 1 cm
• Weight: approx. 16 g
• The hammered texture was popular in the Jugendstil period (approx. 1895–1915)

Both in very good condition with a beautiful natural patina and a small dent that is consistent with age. Hinges function well.
