Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in Brescia in 1976, since childhood she felt a marked creative aptitude, which directed her toward studies in fashion and drawing. She attended the IPsIA Fortuny Institute in Brescia, earning the diploma as a designer and figurist.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, enabling her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She taught for several years at sports centers and dance schools: Pole sport, aerial spiral, yoga, Caribbean dances, Oriental dances, ballroom dance, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination she achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most notable: 1st place in Tortosa, Spain at the "WSG 2019"; 2nd place in Finland "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet love which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, specifically delving into artistic nude, portraits, and conceptual photography.
Daniela Scanu’s world of photography is capable of astonishment and enchantment for the viewer; her particular sensitivity and strong expressive sense reach a point of strong convergence between artistic photography and painting and sculpture.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which travels emotion and personal introspection.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
