Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in the city of Brescia in 1976, from a young age she showed a pronounced creative talent, which guided her toward studies in fashion and drawing. She attended the IPSIA Fortuny Institute in Brescia, earning a diploma as a fashion designer and costume designer.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which allowed her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She taught for several years at sports centers and dance schools:
Pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, Oriental dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination she has achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most important, we remember:
First place in Tortosa, Spain at the "WSG 2019",
Second place in Finland at the "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet love that, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, specifically exploring artistic nude, portraiture, conceptual photography.
The photographic world of Daniela Scanu is capable of surprising and enchanting the viewer; her particular sensitivity and the powerful expressive sense reach a point of strong convergence between artistic photography and painterly and sculptural art.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which emotions and personal introspection travel.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
