Character of the work
Between Light and Silence presents a solitary female figure shown in profile, her face lifted toward the light of the moon. Her silhouette emerges from an almost completely dark space, and a central vertical strip of light cuts through the composition, linking the figure with the bright surface of the moon.
The contrast of deep black, soft grays, and golden accents builds an atmosphere of quiet, focus, and mystery. Fragmentary structures and scattered golden elements keep the boundary between the figure, the light, and the surrounding space fluid.
An uplifted face and moonlight may evoke associations with waiting, introspection, searching, or a moment of inner passage. The work does not impose a single narrative—it leaves room for the viewer’s own interpretation and personal reception.
