For sale an extraordinary and extremely rare collectible set from the famous Montblanc Writers Edition series, dedicated to Alexandre Dumas and released on the market in 1996.
This lot is the legendary and highly sought-after variant with the "wrong signature". Due to a production error, Montblanc engraved on the cap the signature of the son (Alexandre Dumas fils) with the ascending flourish, instead of that of the father, author of The Three Musketeers. The lot was withdrawn from the market almost immediately, making these pieces rare and of the highest collecting interest.

Fountain Pen
Serial Number: 08358 / 20000 N
Nib: Solid two-tone 18k gold (750) finely decorated with the French fleur-de-lis.
Line/Grade: Fine (F) – It still bears the original paper sticker "F / Germany" on the barrel, testimony that the pen has never been used or inked.
Filling: Piston-filler.

Details: Perfectly functional, smooth mechanism.
