Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora GetRich" - 7/20
When wealth becomes a luminous obsession.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Counterfeit Original, Aurora Authentic Fake... AMA continues its ironic exploration of contemporary myths, between social success, pop culture, and the fantasy of absolute wealth.
"Aurora Get Rich" – Get Rich Or Die Trying transforms a brutal modern-culture mantra into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, almost ceremonial.
On the front, the message is clear:
GET RICH, accompanied by an iconic wink to the double C, the universal symbol of luxury and desire.
On the sides, the phrase completes itself, without roundabout:
OR DIE / TRYING.
A frontal, radical slogan, immediately understandable.
A contemporary injunction frozen in light.
By day: a chrome, cold, desirable icon.
By night: a luminous explosion, hypnotic, almost obsessive.
A brutal contrast between imagined success and contemporary pressure.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature required on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fade transitions, simple transitions)
- Power supply via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Sculpture manufactured for commercial purposes, hand-finished by artist Pope using a premium polymer vinyl customization technique, including graphic design, precision cutting, careful positioning, and fully manual application of visual elements.
Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice in visual arts since childhood, a high standard of detail, and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wonder-filled gaze, attentive to both simplicity and complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether as a gift, a memento, or part of your personal collection of contemporary art, you will surely find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban street art and pop art (in limited editions or not), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, and products of the food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys slyly subverting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many more.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unfounded claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
