The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing a remarkable level of conservation both aesthetically and functionally. The body in black precious resin maintains a deep, uniform sheen, with elegant reflections that enhance its sophisticated character. At first sight, no major wear or material loss is noticeable, only very light micro-scratches typical of careful use, visible only under close inspection.

The metal components — clip, rings, and platinum-finish details — retain their integrity and original shine, with no signs of corrosion or significant wear. The clip maintains proper tension and alignment, ensuring practical and reliable use.

The translucent upper dome with the Montblanc floating emblem is in excellent condition, with no cracks or opacities, preserving its characteristic clean and defined visual effect.

The 14-carat gold nib, in point B (Broad), is presented in very good condition. No deformations or misalignment are observed, and the tip preserves its original geometry. The feed and flow have been checked, guaranteeing smooth, generous, and steady writing, in line with this nib size.

The grip area shows an excellent state, with the characteristic textured pattern well defined, without appreciable wear, ensuring an optimal ergonomic experience.

As the only detail to mention, there is a small identification label with the letter “B” on the body, presumably added for nib width identification. This element does not affect the function of the piece at all, though it constitutes a light intervention external to the original configuration.

Overall, this is a very well-preserved specimen, completely functional and ready for use or collection, maintaining the sleek modern and technical elegance typical of the StarWalker Midnight Black line.

Conservation recommendations

It is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented inks. If not used for a long period, clean with lukewarm water, dry completely before storing, and keep the piece in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures. Always operate the writing system gently to preserve its internal mechanisms.
