Description from the seller

A four-panel folding screen with a gilt (gold-toned) ground, hand-painted in a grid of leaf sections with an assortment of floral and botanical motifs, including peonies, chrysanthemums, morning glories, narcissus, plum blossoms, ivy vines, ornamental grasses, and berry-laden branches. The lower right panel bears a black ink cursive signature and a red seal mark, artist unattributed. Black lacquered wood frame with decorative brass-toned metal fittings and edge trim; reverse panels finished in a woven grasscloth-type fabric. Material composition of the gilt ground (gold leaf vs. imitation/composition leaf) has not been tested. Dimensions TBD. Condition: visible wear and thinning to the gilt surface, minor losses at panel seams, a small paint loss near the lower right of one panel, and a stain and scuff mark to the fabric backing. It’s between 20-30 lbs and 100 by 70 cm.
