Character of the work
Ethereal Tides presents three sailboats rising above a calm surface of water, surrounded by the dark silhouettes of a forest. Their tall, golden sails dominate the composition, reflecting the light of the setting sun and the moon visible in the evening sky.
The combination of warm golden tones with the cool blue of the sky and deep shadows gives the scene a nearly fairy-tale, timeless character. Scattered, fragmentary structures permeating the sky, water and the silhouettes of the sailboats make the realistic landscape progressively shift into a more painterly, almost abstract form.
Three sailboats, tranquil water and two sources of light – the sun and the moon – may evoke associations with travel, anticipation, calm, or the search for one’s own direction. The artwork, however, does not impose a particular story, leaving the viewer space for personal interpretation and reception.

The work is created on high-quality CANVAS canvas, 100% cotton, 360 g/m². It emerged from an authorial process combining digital creation, composition, image editing, and work with light, color and detail.
In the creative process, AI-based tools are also used as aids in artistic work, as well as professional tools for digital composition, editing, working with layers and post-production.
Digital technologies, including AI, are a part of the contemporary artistic toolkit. The final composition is the result of authorial selection, composition, editing, and multi-step processing of the image.
