About
Idris Khan is a contemporary artist who lives and works between Paris and Cologne, known for her opulent, floral compositions. Her works merge baroque image traditions with modern, abstract structures, creating a unique visual language between painting and digital aesthetics. At the center of her oeuvre are fragmented floral arrangements that seem to dissolve and drift in deep, marble-like color spaces. Khan explores themes such as transience, beauty, and transformation, reinterpreting classical still lifes and transposing them into a contemporary context. Her works are characterized by intense color worlds, fine textures, and a nearly sculptural depth. Today Idris Khan is regarded as an exciting voice of the new generation, blending traditional art history with modern visual culture.
