Frans Roijmans (Reusel 1937-2020) is a Dutch sculptor. As an artist, Roijmans is self-taught. Since 1975 he has worked in his birthplace, the Brabant town of Reusel, as a visual artist. Initially, the focus of his work was on making ceramics. Gradually he developed from a creator of ceramic products into a visual artist with an artistic oeuvre. From 1980 he created bronze sculptures in addition to his ceramic sculptors. Since 1995 he has worked exclusively in bronze. Together with his son Paul he made the bronze statue of Leontien van Moorsel, which was placed in front of the town hall in Boekel. Roijmans’ works can be found in the public spaces of various municipalities.
