Anchise Picchi (1911–2007) – “After the Rain…”

Original painting attributed to Anchise Picchi (Crespina, 1911 – Collesalvetti, 2007), a Tuscan artist tied to the Livorno painting tradition and the Labronico Group.

The work depicts a rural landscape after rain, with a female figure walking along a path with a green umbrella, surrounded by trees, walls and vegetation. The scene is characterized by a textured, impasto-rich painting and a particular attention to the effects of light and atmosphere.
