Surrealist bronze sculpture – Edition 21/35 – Lost-wax casting

A singular sculpture titled “Eye Building,” made in bronze using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, belonging to a limited edition of 35 copies, this piece being number 21/35.

The work develops a striking architectural and surreal composition in which a large vertical structure appears covered by a rhythmic succession of relief eyes, creating a powerful sense of vigilance, mystery and dreaminess. At the lower zone, a small building and a stylized streetlamp introduce an urban reference that reinforces the monumental and imaginary scale of the edifice.

The richness of the modeling is especially noteworthy, with a deliberately textured surface marked by reliefs, incisions and different bronze treatments that add depth and expressive force. The piece presents an attractive patina in green, bluish and brown tones, particularly effective to highlight the volumes and the fantastical character of the composition.

The reverse preserves the textures typical of the casting process and shows marks and incisions, visible in the photographs. The sculpture integrates with its own architectural base, forming a striking decorative and sculptural ensemble.
