Sculpture in commercially manufactured steel (jerrycan) customized, hand-finished by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes. The edition number applies to the finish painted by the artist and not to the base object.

Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration became a passion that was meant to materialize.

XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement (appropriation) of contemporary consumer goods.

His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot Champagne or even caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.

He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.

He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general.

All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work, including any small dents.
