Figures - XL is an original acrylic painting on canvas by PIXA, 100 cm wide by 130 cm high, hand signed, created in 2026, with a blue, white, black and red palette, sold directly from the artist and shipped rolled.
Description from the seller
A dynamic figurative composition in which human and animal-like forms emerge and dissolve within a dense field of expressive brushwork. Faces, bodies and fragmented silhouettes overlap, creating a sense of collective presence while remaining deliberately ambiguous.
The restrained palette of blue, white, black and touches of red gives the painting a strong visual tension. Broad, spontaneous gestures, scraped passages and energetic marks create a raw, layered surface characteristic of contemporary expressionist painting.
Rather than depicting specific individuals, Figures explores the instability of perception: recognizable forms appear momentarily before being absorbed again into the abstract composition. The viewer is invited to construct their own reading of the scene.
A powerful work balancing figuration and abstraction, with an immediate and expressive visual impact.
