Description from the seller
In this presentation we introduce a specimen with a distinctly modern and technological charm, belonging to one of the most iconic and audacious lines from the Hamburg house: the Montblanc StarWalker Rubber Line Roller Pen.
The design of this writing instrument breaks with traditional norms thanks to an innovative and highly tactile surface. The body and cap are coated in soft black rubber resin, which guarantees an exceptionally secure and comfortable grip. This texture is enhanced by a sophisticated grid-pattern created with platinum-plated inserts, producing a striking visual impact and giving the pen a unmistakable high-tech look. The material contrast is masterfully highlighted by platinum-plated, mirror-polished finishes on the smooth grip section, the structural rings, and on the aerodynamic-profile clip. To underscore the StarWalker line’s identity, we find the famous transparent dome atop the cap, inside which the Montblanc white star emblem floats magically.
The specimen is configured as a Rollerball Pen. The cap, equipped with a secure screw closure to protect the tip, can be conveniently screwed onto the end of the barrel during use, ensuring perfect weight balance in the hand. As documented by the photographs showing the pen disassembled, the instrument uses the reliable original Montblanc liquid-ink refills, easily replaceable by unscrewing the front metal section.
The condition of preservation of the item should be considered generally excellent. The soft rubber resin surface is in superb shape, not tacky and free of scratches or chips, maintaining its geometric charm and its pleasant feel to the touch. The grid inserts and platinum finishes are bright and lustrous, showing only the physiological and almost imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) resulting from normal careful use. The upper transparent dome is crystal-clear and the star float is intact.
