Vinicio Berti presents AH 1 2 3, a 1971 mixed-media on paper artwork in abstract style, 27.5 × 20.5 cm (with frame 50 × 40 cm), signed by hand, original edition, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Splendid and dynamic work on paper by Maestro Vinicio Berti, cofounder in 1947 of the Florentine Classical Abstraction movement and a prominent figure of the Italian avant-garde in the postwar period.
The work belongs to the famous cycle of "Cifre" (or Cifra-Structure), in which the artist fuses geometric rigor with graffiti-like graphic signs, numbers and letters (the characteristic codes "AH" and the digits "1, 2, 3" are clearly visible).
The composition unfolds on a fluid watercolor background in vivid tones of yellow and blue, topped by a powerful and rigorous black ink/pen structure.
The back of the support cardboard bears the original cataloging of the studio/period gallery and the precious autograph of the artist at the bottom, which guarantees its absolute authenticity and provenance.Artist: Vinicio Berti (Florence, 1921 – 1991)Era: 1960s / '70s
