Biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and with Klaus Rinke at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with diverse forms of expression and became internationally known through his time-limited large-scale projects with serially produced sculptures in public spaces. Art is for Ottmar Hörl a principle of organization and an occasion for communication, intended to provoke thought and have an impact in society.
