Biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and with Klaus Rinke at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with a wide range of expressions and became internationally known through his time-limited large-scale projects with serially produced sculptures in public space. For Ottmar Hörl, art is an organizational principle and an occasion for communication, intended to provoke thought and make an impact in society.
