The warm gold tone, repeating Cartier-style motif and honest edge wear immediately caught my eye. It has that nice “used and enjoyed” feel collectors like, while the full presentation set makes it especially attractive at auction.
[Appearance]
This is a vintage Cartier lighter with a warm rose-gold-tone finish and a bold repeating decorative pattern across the body.
The surface shows scratches, rubbing, discoloration and finish wear from age and use, particularly around the edges, top and bottom. That said, the pattern remains nicely defined and the overall character is very appealing—this kind of honest wear suits a vintage lighter rather well.
The base is clearly marked “Cartier” and “SWISS MADE.” The outer box label reads “CA120135,” “BRIQUET C DE CARTIER,” and “FINITION OR ROSE.”

Only basic ignition has been tested.
The heat control works well.
