Zippo - Lupin the Third 3D - Pocket lighter - Metal

The brushed silver-tone case, bold Lupin the Third artwork and chunky black-and-yellow grille-style emblem immediately caught my eye. There’s honest wear around the edges, but the layered decoration has a great gadget-like feel, making this a very easy piece to notice at auction.

[Appearance]

A distinctive Zippo lighter featuring a Lupin the Third themed design on a brushed silver-tone case.

The front combines black-and-gold character artwork with a large raised dark-tone grille-style emblem containing a yellow accent. “LUPIN the III” is marked near the upper left. I really like the layered construction here—it gives the lighter a chunky, mechanical look that feels quite different from a standard printed Zippo.

There are scratches, rubbing, small marks and edge wear from age and use, with some finish loss visible around the lower corners. The raised decorative parts also show signs of handling. On the positive side, the character artwork remains clear and the dimensional front emblem still gives the lighter plenty of visual presence.

The bottom is stamped “ZIPPO,” “BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A.,” “I” and “05,” indicating September 2005 production.
