Eleonora Stol (1946–2022) was a Dutch artist best known for her expressive, colorful, and emotionally charged paintings and graphic works. She was born in Leiden and studied at the Free Academy in The Hague, and later worked for a long period from Amsterdam. Her artist name was also sometimes “La Roja,” referring to her preference for bold colors, with red as a recurring theme in her life and work.
Stol’s work is characterized by vibrant color, dynamic forms, and an intuitive painting style in which passion, love, dance, and dream images play a major role. She often used mixed techniques, including acrylics, oil paint, and pencil, giving her works a rich, textural look that speaks directly to emotion. Her art is described as lively, energetic, and full of movement, almost as if the canvases “breathe.”
Dimensions of the work: 120 x 150 cm

We take great care in packaging every artwork. Packing is bespoke: every painting, work on paper or object is assessed and packed separately according to the most suitable and safe method. We take into account size, technique, condition and vulnerability of the work.
Where necessary we use extra protective materials, robust bespoke packaging and professional transport solutions, so that your purchase arrives safely and in optimal condition.
