Description from the seller

The Botanical Constraint — La costrizione botanica

In The Botanical Constraint, vegetation is no longer ornament, but structure. Branches expand into space, crossing the boundary between still life and the human figure, passing across the face and transforming into a weave that both protects, hides, and constrains.

The human presence remains suspended behind this vegetal architecture: visible, but never fully accessible. The beauty of the small flowers thus clashes with the rigidity of the branches, bringing forth a tension between seduction and control, delicacy and imposition.

Part of the series Dittatura dei Petali — The Aesthetic Regime, the work continues the exploration of the power of aesthetics and the capacity of beauty to act as a device of occultation. What initially appears decorative ends up occupying space, determining the gaze and redefining the identity of the figure.

The work is a Giclée fine art print produced on premium satin paper 270 g/m² in a limited edition of 20 copies at this printed size, using Epson UltraChrome HD which ensures intense color rendering and exceptional longevity, representing the reference standard of the sector.

Image size: 30 × 40 cm.
Edition: 20 copies, each signed and numbered on the back.
Authenticity: each copy is accompanied by a hand-stamped and hand-signed certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing provenance and uniqueness of the work. Inside the shipment there is also a page dedicated to the description of the shot and the author’s biography.
Accurate shipping: Delivered in a protective tube without a frame, for optimal protection during transport.

Biography:

Born in Lecce, Tatiana Cardellicchio is a visual artist and photographer whose gaze draws on the light of the South, transformed into poetic matter. Her work develops as a silent dialogue between body, identity, and nature, in a visual exploration that is at once intimate and universal. A graduate in Photography from the Italian Institute of Photography, she builds suspended narratives between aesthetics and awareness, interrogating contemporary identity through images that call for patience, listening, and attention.
In 2024 she received a silver medal at the Prix de la Photographie Paris in the Portrait/Self-Portrait category for the project Impatto, a personal reflection on the bond between body and the Salento landscape. Her works have been exhibited in international contexts (Imagenation Paris, London, New York), festivals (Paratissima), galleries and museums (National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, Medina Roma), outlining a coherent and recognizable poetics that moves between self-representation, emotional ecology, and identity aesthetics

Her works have been exhibited in various exhibitions and volumes:
