In 1991, the Space Shuttle Atlantis flew three critical NASA missions: STS-37 (launching the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory), STS-43 (deploying the TDRS-E satellite), and STS-44 (a Department of Defense mission deploying a DSP satellite).
