Description from the seller
Moretti Recanati – Italian handmade briar pipe in natural briar – Production years 1980–1988
Presented is a refined Moretti Recanati handmade pipe, crafted in fine Italian briar and dating from the 1980–1988 period, an era considered among the most appreciated in the Marche craftsmanship. The dating is supported by the MORETTI RECANATI engraved mark, the presence of the original ebonite mouthpiece with metal tenon and condenser, as well as the typical natural-edge (plateau) finish, characteristic of high-quality handmade pipes of that era.
The piece stands out for its splendid vertical flame figure (straight grain), its elegant shape, and generous dimensions, which attest to the use of a carefully selected briar block. The natural edge retains its original charm, while the bowl shows normal, even patina from use, indicating proper handling. The mouthpiece is original and in good condition.
