Renato Mambor (1936-2014) was born in Rome. He was a prominent figure in the experimental art phenomenon known as the Young Roman School, developed in the capital in the 1960s, alongside figures such as Mario Schifano. Mambor frequently exhibited with friends such as Schifano himself, Franco Angeli, Tano Festa, Cesare Tacchi, Francesco Lo Savio, and Sergio Lombardo. His first exhibition took place in 1959 in Rome, at the Gallery "L'Appia Antica". In June of the following year he won one of the "encouragement prizes" from the Galleria d'Arte Moderna, and then exhibited at Plinio De Martiis' La Tartaruga Gallery in 1963, 1964, and in the following years.
