The rapper and skater Ahmed Rezea performs a song in front of the window of his home in Gaza City, in the Gaza Strip. The photo was taken in 2011 during a photo reportage dedicated to the world of Gaza's youth, who despite the enormous difficulties of life in the Strip tried to escape the dramatic daily reality through art, music, and sport.
The image is signed on the back and measures 30 x 40 cm. It is printed in a limited edition (25 copies) on Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 g paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Alessandro Gandolfi is an Italian professional photographer and journalist. Interested in telling the small and large changes of contemporary society, his reports have appeared in outlets around the world and have been shown in various international photo exhibitions and festivals. He has received international recognitions such as the Sony World Photography Award, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism, the POY - Pictures of the Year, and the PDN. Eight of his reports published in National Geographic Italia have earned the “Best Edit Award” as the best reportage across the magazine’s various local editions.
