About the series "Galaxy Advertising"
In Galaxy Advertising, Kobalt invents a language that no one speaks—not even him. An unlikely blend of zero-gravity Cyrillic and Martian calligraphy vaguely Asian, this writing is meant to be the most spoken in the neighboring galaxies… No need to try to translate it: it says nothing, but it does so beautifully. A cosmic wink to a communication from very, very far away — or just from another imagination.

Biography:
Kobalt, born in Paris in 1970, embodies the career of a polymath artist whose creativity has unfolded from electronic music to contemporary graphic art. Coming from a family where art was already present thanks to his father, a designer, Kobalt discovers at a very young age his first passion, music creation. This passion guides him in his youth, and his early talents lead him to make a bold decision: to invest the money intended to fund his higher studies in the creation of his first album.
Distributed by EMI, the album does not meet the expected success, but it marks the beginning of a rich artistic career filled with experiments.
Parallel to his musical career, Kobalt enters the world of advertising as a copywriter/concept developer for the iconic magazine Playboy. For many years, he dedicates his creativity to the publication by creating and producing the magazine’s advertising campaigns.
The turning point in his career comes in 2005 when he becomes a CAMERAMAN, thus exploring a new facet of the visual world. In 2007, he discovers a passion for photography, adding another artistic string to his bow. In 2010, he successfully founds his own photo agency, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2017, Kobalt makes a radical choice to sell his agency to fully embrace graphic art, influenced by his son, who has become a major figure in global street art. A pioneer of computer-assisted artistic creation, Kobalt stands out with nearly 3,000 works sold in galleries and online to date.
His artistic approach is marked by the bold use of humor, provocation, and anachronisms, with a particular penchant for appropriating magazine covers—an instantly recognizable style.
Despite the digital era, Kobalt has chosen to stay away from social networks, thus preserving a certain privacy. Today, he uses all available digital tools to give life to his creations, continuing to push the boundaries of artistic expression with a subtle blend of inspiration, innovation, and humor.
