ZAACHI - Between Two Worlds

Two monumental figures emerge from a mysterious architectural world of geometric forms, stairways and contrasting spaces. They stand close to one another yet look in opposite directions, suggesting two lives connected by a shared moment but drawn toward different realities.
On the left, an open arch reveals the calm blue sea and distant landscape—a symbol of freedom, hope and the world beyond. On the right, the enclosed interior, ascending stairs and solitary bottle evoke memory, silence and introspection. The red circle above the figures introduces a sense of time, destiny and emotional tension.
Rich layered textures and fragmented forms transform the two faces into expressive psychological portraits. Deep black and earthy brown tones are balanced by ochre, ivory, burgundy and luminous blue accents, creating a powerful dialogue between darkness and light.
Balancing cubist expression, architectural structure and emotional symbolism, “Between Two Worlds” explores closeness and separation, shared memories and the invisible distance that can exist between two people.

Mixed media includes acrylic paint, texture paste, layered applications, palette-knife work and expressive splashes on canvas. The artwork is additionally hand-finished with painted details.
