Inspired by Gerhard Hauptmann's drama “The Weavers,” the graphic artist and sculptor Käthe Kollwitz completed, between 1895 and 1897, the cycle “A Weavers’ Uprising.” This etching shows the march of rebellious textile workers in the Owl Mountains of Silesia.

This print was produced by the Graphic Society for the Reproduction of Art / Vienna.
