“CARROTS COCKTAIL” is an original abstract painting created in 2015 by contemporary Lithuanian artist Marius Kavolis.
The work presents a vertically imposing composition, built through an intense layering of marks, drips, and acrylic fields. Orange, yellow, red, pink, black, and white converge toward the center of the canvas, creating a strong sense of energy, depth, and movement.
Kavolis’ painterly language belongs to contemporary gestural abstraction. His works are characterized by dynamic compositions and an expressive use of color. In his research, references to action painting and international abstraction can be detected, with declared influences from artists such as Jackson Pollock, Albert Oehlen, Sam Francis, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Gerhard Richter.
Marius Kavolis was born in Lithuania in 1987. In 2014 he presented his first solo show, “12 ½,” and subsequently participated in the Milano Affordable Art Fair. In 2015 he exhibited in Moscow and at the Cosmoscow international contemporary art fair. His works have also been shown at the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and are part of international private collections.
