The entire scene is built through sharp and complementary color contrasts: the blue of the sky and sea, the red of the horizon and roof, the green of the meadows, the yellow of the fields, and the pink of the blossoms. The result is a landscape of strong visual impact, in which nature appears idealized, luminous, and almost fairy-tale.
The evident brushwork and the richness of the surface give the canvas a pleasant tactile vitality, while the perspective guided by the path leads the gaze into depth, up to the line of the sea.
