Biography:
Daniela Scanu was born in Brescia in 1976. From an early age she showed a pronounced creative aptitude, which led her to studies in fashion and drawing. She attended the Istituto Ipsia Fortuny in Brescia, earning a diploma as a fashion designer and illustrator.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which enabled her to become an international judge of pole sport and a fitness instructor.
She taught for many years at sports centers and dance schools: Pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, Oriental dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her tenacity and determination she achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most important, we recall:
- 1st place in Tortosa, Spain at the WSG 2019
- 2nd place in Finland at the "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet love which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, delving specifically into artistic nude, portraiture, conceptual photography.
Daniela Scanu's photographic world is capable of surprising and enchanting the viewer; her particular sensitivity and powerful expressive sense reach a point of strong convergence between artistic photography and painting/sculptural art.
Her ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which emotions and personal introspection travel.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
