Distant Mountains builds a landscape where color transforms distance: purples and blues push the mountains away, while ochers, greens and earth tones bring the horizon closer. Between planes that seem to meet and lines that separate them, the work speaks of distances—of what seems near, almost within reach, yet which our own inner borders gradually turn into a horizon hard to reach.

Antonycs resides in Madrid. Trained in visual arts and art history, he has focused his career on photography and painting. His work is deeply inspired by Californian landscape painting and the Western American tradition, as well as European painting from the early XXth century. These references are reflected in his attentive gaze toward light and atmosphere, elements that articulate his work.
Parallely, he has developed an intensive role in the logistics and organization of exhibitions in galleries and museums in Spain, Brazil and Italy. His work has been part of numerous group and solo shows, consolidating an artistic practice that joins personal creation and curatorial experience.
