Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a unique artistic universe driven by a practice in the visual arts since childhood, a meticulous attention to detail and careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name but a few.
Whether it’s for a gift, a memory or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will surely find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited edition or not), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion products (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously distort labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claim will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
