Yann Argentin (1971) - A deux

Yann Argentin born in 1971

A two-person piece depicts a couple seated with their backs to a café table, a hooded passerby in the distance: the composition plays with reflections and the transparency of the café window, which overlays the interior scene with the outdoor urban setting. In this work one finds strong contrasts that structure the image into broad masses rather than details.

Yann Argentin fully belongs to the current of contemporary figuration with this impression of great aesthetic finesse. The work testifies to remarkable compositional work where the mastery of nuances creates a captivating visual dialogue.

The expressive force of the whole and the subtlety of the execution give this piece a remarkable presence. This is an ideal acquisition opportunity to enrich a discerning collection or to elevate a modern interior.
