Beautiful original work by Izaks. Oil on canvas and in top condition
90 x 85 cm with frame and 70 x 70 cm canvas size.
Signed on the back
Izaks' work belongs to the lyrical abstract expressionism. Izaks worked in studios in Enschede and in Eibergen. He had a high output and created more than a thousand paintings and thousands of etchings, linocuts and drawings in a variety of techniques such as oil pastels and acrylic paint. A large part of it is in the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. The Wim Izaks Foundation and the Wim Izaks prize. The memory of Wim Izaks is kept alive by the Wim Izaks foundation, which sells his work and from the proceeds publishes publications and awards every two years a stipend of 10,000 euros as prize for painting to a young promising artist and a smaller monetary prize of 1500 euros to the other two nominees.
