KIRAS - SPLASH! - VELVET VIOLA - versione grande

“GELATO – SPLASH! VELVET VIOLET” (large edition) is a wall sculpture by Italian artist KIRAS, which transforms a pop gesture into a surprising and refined design object. The ice cream seems to have crashed into the wall, but what truly strikes is its velvety surface, soft to look at and capable of capturing light in a unique way.

The work is created in bioplastic using 3D technology, a plant-based material chosen for its sustainability and for the ability to achieve precise and lightweight forms. After printing, each piece is fully finished by hand through a long process of filling, smoothing, and polishing. The surface is then coated with a VIOLET velvet-effect flocking, which adds color depth, softly absorbs light, and creates an elegant contrast with the bioplastic cone and real wood, both also hand-finished.

The velvet effect is what makes this version particularly dramatic: the matte, fluffy texture creates a play of shadows and reflections that changes with lighting, turning the work into a refined and at the same time ironic focal point. It’s pop, but with a touch of unexpected elegance.

Wall mounting is done via rear holes.
Dimensions are approximately 43 × 29 × 26 cm.

KIRAS’ philosophy is based on using simple, environmentally friendly materials, without sacrificing strong aesthetic impact. Each sculpture is personally made by the artist, who oversees all production stages. For this reason, editions are always extremely limited: this edition comprises 50 pieces, making each piece rare and highly collectible. The work is signed and numbered, accompanied by an authenticity certificate and a KIRAS-branded box.

Being a handcrafted piece, any small irregularities are part of the natural manual process. The work is intended for indoor settings; it is advised to avoid heat sources and to clean exclusively with a soft cloth or a delicate brush to preserve the velvet effect.
