Elegant 1935 pocket cigarette case from the Midlands goldsmith Dudley Russell Howitt. It bears legal and complete UK hallmarks struck in Birmingham: Lion passant, the anchor, DRH and F. Externally, it has a fine, neat guilloche textured finish. When opened by its tab, it reveals a vermeil-lined interior. It retains its original inner elastic band.
