Jan Toorop (1858-1928) - Het Offer Mussolini

2 old lithographs of the genuine work by artist Jan Toorop (1858–1928) that he made in 1927. Toorop had a vision of how the Italian dictator, together with his brave fascists, knelt to worship the Holy Host. Toorop's admiration for Mussolini was boundless and naive, also Mussolini Therese of Lisieux. The Resurrection of the Passion story stood as a symbol of the victory of spirit and light over darkness and death. In 1905 Jan Toorop became a devout Catholic. Size: 31H x 25B, 585 g; both in very good condition.
