Description from the seller
The work depicted in the image is a celebrated color lithograph titled Objects on the Table, created by Italian artist Gianfranco Ferroni (Livorno, 1927 – Bergamo, 2001).
Ferroni, a central figure in Italian figuration and the Metacosa group, made the study of everyday objects and light the cornerstone of his artistic research, evoking suspended, silent atmospheres reminiscent of Giorgio Morandi's lessons.
Title: Objects on the Table
Technique: Original color lithograph
Period: Year '86 (the composition belongs to the cycle of his mature still lifes focused on the tools of the artist's studio and the poetics of waiting)
Subject: A still life that gathers on the surface of a worktable various studio tools and domestic objects: bottles, bowls, jars, tubes of color and brushes. The densely woven texture of the engraving line defines the surrounding space, creating a strong atmospheric and luminous density.
