Description from the seller
The Beatles – Let It Be
Year: 1970
Country: India
Label: Apple Records / The Gramophone Company of India
Catalogue number: PCS 7096
Format: LP, Stereo
Matrix: YEX 773-3U-T1 / YEX 774-3U-T1
Offered here is a rare Indian pressing of The Beatles' Let It Be, released in India in 1970 by The Gramophone Company of India on the Apple Records label.
This is a particularly interesting Beatles pressing for collectors because it is an Indian Apple Records edition, rather than the more commonly encountered UK or European pressing. The record label clearly states “Made in India”, and the distinctive Indian matrix numbers are:
YEX 773-3U-T1 / YEX 774-3U-T1
The original sleeve is in VG+ condition, with some signs of age and handling. The vinyl is also VG+ overall, with some light visible surface marks/scratches consistent with its age and previous use.
The record is accompanied by a plain vintage white paper inner sleeve. It has no printed markings, so its originality to this specific Indian pressing cannot be confirmed.
Condition
- Vinyl: VG+ – some visible light scratches/surface marks
- Outer sleeve: VG+
- Inner sleeve: vintage plain white paper sleeve, unmarked; originality to this pressing cannot be confirmed
A desirable and relatively uncommon 1970 Indian Apple Records pressing of one of The Beatles' most important albums, with the characteristic Indian YEX 773-3U-T1 / YEX 774-3U-T1 matrix numbers.
