Biography
He was a pupil of Gennaro Villani but soon parted from his influence and quickly developed a personal style, managing to renew Neapolitan painting without straying from tradition: his thoughtful, floating Pulcinellas over dreamlike backgrounds earned him the nickname the Neapolitan Chagall.
His works are present in numerous Italian museums including the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery in Piacenza.
