Luigi Lombardo's oil painting L'angelo stanco is an original contemporary work measuring 80 by 60 cm, signed by hand, dated 2020+ with a certificate of guarantee, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
The painting is realized with the technique of oil painting and hemp filaments on canvas, and it is signed and numbered on the back of the canvas itself. It will be shipped with protective and secure packaging, inside which is the certificate of authenticity of the work signed by the artist.
Luigi Lombardo captures with extreme delicacy, not only painterly, those suspended moments of each of us, crystallizing them, through oils and acrylics, micro-stories that recall our daily lives: glorious and triumphant heroisms of fragility and of nothingness.
“From conceiving a painting I do not want to tell a story, but rather what nourishes the very path of a story.” This is how the artist summarizes his research, the fruit of a grueling and painstaking inquiry conducted on himself and above all on the path he pursues as he spasmodically seeks to stop a momentary heartbeat, dense with content and deep meaning.
The subjects live in an atemporal space where imagination, dream, illusion, and abstraction seem to find a raison d’être. In the space, color tells of itself without any conditioning, breaking away from the subject that refers to figuration, and the play of contrasts, however, does not create internal fractures but in the logic of difference, it is exalted and completed.
The works are permeated by ancestral moods, deprived of chronological time, living in a private dimension, that of the imagination intimately linked to the emotional aspect.
Luigi Lombardo draws us into a world of mystical vibrations, of pure feelings, of moments stolen from the eternal mutability of time.
Several of his works are part of collections at national and international levels.
