Zippo - Godzilla character - Pocket lighter - Metal

That fierce Godzilla face, orange-yellow flames and bright metal edges really jump out. I always like these graphic Zippos, especially when the original display packaging is still around. The 1997 Toho markings and unmistakable monster artwork give collectors plenty to notice.

[Appearance]

This is a Godzilla-themed Zippo featuring a bold black and gray monster graphic surrounded by orange and yellow flames. The red-orange eyes are a nice little detail—the sort of design that still has plenty of impact sitting on a shelf.

The front is marked “1997 TOHO / TOHO EIGA,” and the bottom stamp shows “Zippo,” “BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A.,” and date code “J XIII.”

The lighter shows some light scratches, small marks and minor wear to the exposed metal edges. There also appears to be some wear around the lower corner. On the positive side, the colorful Godzilla artwork remains strong and visually impressive, with good contrast between the black graphic, flames and bright metal body.

The original-style Zippo display packaging shown in the photos is also included. Having the lighter together with its period display package makes this a particularly fun piece for both Zippo and Japanese monster memorabilia collectors.
