Zippo Sterling Silver hand-hammered lighter, model Sterling Silver Hand-Hammered Finish, made in the USA in 2004, in good used condition with wear and patina, in working order with basic ignition, includes presentation case and cloth.
Description from the seller
This 2004 Sterling Zippo has a deeply hand-hammered silver surface with plenty of natural wear and patina. That uneven texture really catches my eye—it feels substantial and handmade rather than flashy. Sterling Zippos with this much character tend to stand out nicely at auction, especially with the original case.
[Appearance]
This is a genuine Zippo lighter marked “STERLING 2004” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the bottom.
The entire case has a distinctive hand-hammered texture, with each small depression reflecting the light differently. It is a simple design, but this kind of surface treatment works especially well with sterling silver. The texture gives the lighter a nice tactile, almost tool-like feel that I personally enjoy on older Zippos.
There are visible scratches, tarnish, darkening, small marks and general wear throughout the silver surface. The edges and bottom also show signs of use. On the positive side, the hammered finish hides minor wear naturally, and the accumulated patina gives the silver a warm, nicely aged appearance rather than making it feel tired.
The interior and insert show discoloration and signs of previous use. The hinge and internal components also show age-related wear, but the overall construction retains that familiar solid Zippo character.
A Zippo presentation case and cloth are shown in the photos. The case also shows some age and storage wear.
Please refer to the photos for detailed condition.
