Olav Vorsel (1922–2007) was a Dutch artist who, later in life, fully dedicated himself to painting, after a career as director at the publishing house Van Ditmar. From his 47th year he developed an impressive and versatile oeuvre of more than a thousand works. His style ranges from expressive, thickly painted canvases to tight geometric abstractions. Themes such as social engagement, existential questions and inner experience run like a red thread through his work. Vorsel drew inspiration from personal experiences, his youth and a strong analytical mind.
Viewing is of course possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year.
