Description from the seller

Vintage EMO trumpet, model "professional", is a flagship instrument produced in the 1950s and 1960s. It features a balanced weight and a wonderful, clear timbre. The instrument has undergone a full, professional service, is technically sound, all moving parts operate correctly, producing a clear sound and easy playability. Included is a new, contemporary carbon case, 2 respected mouthpieces for pop music and classical/repertoire, and a music stand dedicated to the instrument. The Emo Professional trumpet is a unique brass instrument sought after by collectors. It was produced in Germany in the 1950s and 1960s by the Ernst Mödl (EMO) manufactory. The most notable fact about this brand is that Louis Armstrong himself played an EMO trumpet and, impressed by its sound, wrote a letter to Ernst Mödl in which he called it “the best trumpet he had ever played in his life.” These instruments are now regarded as rare and hold great historical value for jazz enthusiasts and vintage brass instrument fans. The Emo manufactory ceased producing instruments in 1973 after the founder’s death. Today the Emo brand is best known for producing respected accessories, such as mutes for trumpets and trombones.
