Marc Chagall (1887-1985) was a Russian-French painter.
Color lithograph by Marc Chagall from the year 1962
Title: "The Tribe of Simeon" (Tribe of Simeon)
Origin and background
The work comes from the famous series "The Jerusalem Windows" (The Jerusalem Windows / Les Vitraux de Jérusalem).
To document this project, in 1962 an elaborately designed book was published by the publisher André Sauret (Monte Carlo), printed in the renowned Mourlot Frères workshop in Paris with the collaboration of master printer Charles Sorlier, edition of 5,000 copies.

on sturdy Velin board
