1. Cigarette and/or cigar pipe holder (fifka) in its original "box" with hinged lid and velvet interior. Late 19th/early 20th century.
2. Antique brass pipe tamper, also known as a pipe tamper with a built-in pipe cleaner/ember hook. It was intensively used by pipe smokers in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The flat bottom (foot) is the stopper. With this, the smoker pressed the tobacco or smoldering ash gently into the bowl of the pipe to regulate the air supply. The hook on the top. This thin curved shaft served as a scraper or cleaner for the stubborn ash and tobacco residues (the dof) to easily scrape them from the pipe bowl or to clear a blocked opening. Thanks to its compact size, this handy tool could be easily hung on a chain or carried in a jacket pocket.
3. For smokers who light their cigarette or cigar with a candle, this antique candle snuffer also dates from the late 19th/early 20th century. From these old examples, one or more of the three legs are often missing. This one is complete.
